Dear Brenda,
Thank you for informing us about the special journal issue.
Indeed Clark and beck in their recent book (2010!) on anxiety disorders also supports your editorial position about the implications of PTSD.
My question to you and the forum is the following:
While we all know that anxiety contains of a significant physiological manifestation, very few studies has tried biofeedback - or any presentation of the physiological signal to the patient.
Yucha and Gilbert (2008) review few of the articles concerning biofeedback and anxiety and again - very little RCT studies. i am familiar with some recent activities of Gevirtz group - but i would appreciate any more suggestions/refernces from people in this group.
Coming beck to you Brenda, you clearly support the usage of physiological parameters to enhance the immersion experience - yet I would be happy if you could direct me to some more studies apart from the "clinical observation..." you published in 1999 )
Again, let me thank you for making this Associations and this internet forum.
Arnon Rolnick,
clinical psychologist, Israel
