Virtual Healing, "Wonder Woman" & Peering into the 1st CyberPsych App

Objectifying emotions previously thought hidden from conscious awareness. . . became a life long passion of William Moulton Marston. . . as he and his wife -- Elizabeth Holloway Marston (and colleague/Lebenspartnerin -- Mary Olive Byrne)* advanced the work of Jung. . . to become the co-creators of the 1st functional lie detector polygraph

Elizabeth (as well as Olive) appear to have inspired Marston's comic book creation.

In a sense the first cyberpsych app with healing potential.

Marston's work focused on directly observable & measurable psychological phenomena. He was interested in using practical explanations to help people understand & manage their experiences/relationships.

Marston theorized about underlying Neuro-physio facets of behavioral expression of emotions & depicted four primary types (styles), stemming from a person's perceptions of self in relationship to his or her environment.

These four types were: Dominance (D), Inducement (I), Submission (S), and Compliance (C) and later conformed to the four dimensions of DISC Personality Style: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness.

In fleshing out and developing these neuro-physio facets, his own history, experiences and "memory vessels" (as he noted them) constituted his capacity to "immerse" and allow his own imagination to fill in the rudimentary aspects of a burgeoning virtual reality -- that ultimately led to his creating the unique reality of Wonder Woman.

Educated in both Greek & Roman mythology, Wonder WOMAN embodies some of these archetypes and she routinely uses a lasso for truth, and represents a "balanced leadership style of "Driving will-power & Inducement" which Marston noted as "authentic charismatic" & more often exemplified in women (while only typified in about 5% of the population overall).

As a Feminist proponent, he also incorporated in the Wonder Woman personality the four dimensions of DISC Personality Style to role-model a symbol of empowerment during an evolving time (1920's - 40's) in women's rights/liberation.
