FacePrint (fp) is a novel, telemedicine (digital therapeutic) diagnostic tool for Parkinson's disease using early stage biomarkers to uncover and digitize facial muscle movements using facial recognition software and machine learning algorithms. 

fp's transformative capacity lies in its forecasting ability to identify and screen (up to a decade before) neurodegenerative conditions appear as motor symptoms such as tremor or loss of balance -- thus creating the opportunity for enhanced better treatment options.

 

 

(1) Research on the face and the voice has not only demonstrated that emotions are perceived categorically, but that this perception is mediated by the vagus nerve to play a causal role in people's ability to recognize emotions based on images/muscle tone of the eye region.**
